Angels in Disguise
This foundation filled an urgent unmet need, alleviating some of the financial burdens associated with breast cancer treatment. They are a concerned and supportive group who really wanted to make a difference in someone life. I call them my ANGELS in DISGUISE.
On October 13, 2017, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer that was entering Stage III . Being a person that never experienced being sick, it created many scary thoughts and appeared when I was undergoing a family crisis. My husband was seriously sick since March 7, 2017. He has a rare type of Sickle Cell Disease that is life-threatening daily because he has exceeded the longevity years which is 37; he was 61. The doctor’s conference with me on 3 occasions between March 2017 through May 2018 that my husband would be dead within 48hours. Here I was facing two ordeals in my life and wondering how I was going to handle everything. My first source was praying to God to take care of us and to send some assistance to encourage me as I go through. I trusted and believe in God.
While I was focused on handling all the hospitalizations, doctors visits, with my husband and chemotherapy treatments, surgeries and radiation treatments for myself, I was overburdened. This foundation contacts me and express their desire to help me in any way they could. They lifted some of my burdens. They let me know that I could accept help and someone would be there with me through this journey.
November 3, 2017, this foundation presented me with a financial blessing to assist with my treatments expenses. Words are not adequate to express the sincere gratitude for the role that this foundation established with me. If you ask, God will send ANGELS in your pathway.
I feel that your hardest times often lead to the greatest moment in your life. I kept the Faith.
